FAQ’s about the Online Course
Q. When does
the online course start and how long does it take to
complete?
A. The online course is done at
your own pace. You can start it anytime. To thoroughly digest the
material, including doing the assigned reading, a reasonable pace might
be completing one module every week or two. But your pace depends on how
much time you choose to devote to the course.
Q. What
does the course cover compared to the ICH four year Professional Training
Program?
A. The course is a
concise version of a substantial portion of the 1st year material from
the four year program, including the history and context of homoeopathic
thought, the philosophy and principles of classical homoeopathy, and
practical materia medica
for effective acute and emergency prescribing.
Q. How
is the ICH course different from other online homoeopathy courses, some
of which are offered for free?
A. The ICH online course
covers more material and does so in greater depth than most online
courses. It is based on the most respected sources and effective
principles of Classical Homoeopathy. In contrast, some free online
courses use a cookbook approach, providing little information that
enhances understanding of this profound medical system. Other
courses do not follow all of the principles of classical homoeopathy,
instead suggesting routine or simplistic prescribing rather than matching
the remedy with the individual's characteristic symptoms.
Q. What are the assignments?
A. There are 11 modules. Each module
includes readings, questions to answer, and essays to write; some include
exercises. You will e-mail your answers and essays to the course
instructor, who will give individual feedback and determine a pass/fail
grade for each module and the whole course.
Q. What if I fail an assignment?
A. You may do it over and turn it in again. The goal is that you to really learn,
understand, and be able to utilize the material in the course. The
instructor will support you in this goal in every way possible.
Q. What is the tuition for the course?
A. The cost for the entire
course is $975, which includes a $100 registration fee, 11 Course
Modules, and evaluations and feedback from the course instructor, who
will be available to you via email throughout the course.
Q. Does
the tuition cover books and other materials?
A. No, books must be
purchased separately. They may cost between $75 and $100 if you purchase
all of them, including optional texts. Many of the books are available
for free online. However, we recommend purchasing the books in order to
be able to annotate them and to build your homoeopathic library. The
preface includes the book list and where they can be purchases.
Q. What if I start the course and I decide
not to continue?
A. We are confident that you will be
completely satisfied with the content and quality of the course. However, if after receiving the first
module, you decide for any reason to withdraw from the course, we will
close your account and you will receive a refund of the unused tuition, minus
the $100 registration fee (i.e. $975-$100 registration fee- $88.63
tuition for the 1st module= $786.37 refund)
Q. Can I practice homoeopathy when I
complete the course?
A. Upon completion, you should be able to effectively
treat simple acute health problems, injuries, and emergencies with
homeopathic remedies. More training is needed to treat more
complicated acute conditions, or to treat chronic cases.
Q. What
If I complete the online course and want to continue studying in the four
year ICH Professional Training Program?
A. After online course
completion, you would attend Year 1 classes. But you will have a solid
foundation in classical homoeopathy on which to build, and much of the
written online coursework can be directly applied to the 1st Year
homework. The four year program delves much more deeply into the material
to obtain a multi-faceted view of Classical Homoeopathy. Fifty percent ($487.50) of the tuition
for the online course can be applied to the 1st Year Tuition.
